DETAILS OF INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH --------------------------------------- This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents: Patch ID: Hotfix_6_1_00002_3855187 * 3855187 (Tracking ID: 3848329) SYMPTOM: When you install SFWHA Enterprise Datacenter Edition, you are unable to deport the dynamic disk group DESCRIPTION: When you install SFWHA Enterprise Datacenter Edition on the system, the keyless license key does not let you deport the dynamic disk group and the following error message is displayed: Unable to deport disk group V-76-586-45737. This happens because the product limits the operation of the disk group. RESOLUTION: This issue has been resolved by updating the keyless license key for SFWHA Datacenter Edition in the license.dat file. File Name / Version: license.dat / - INSTALLING THE PATCH -------------------- To apply the patch -----------------------------------+ 1. Navigate to the "\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Veritas Shared\vrtslic\db" folder, and rename the "licenses.dat" file to "licenses_Orig.dat". 2. Copy the patch zip file to your system and extract its contents to a different temporary location. 3. From the extracted contents, copy the "licenses.dat" file and paste it in the "db" directory that was mentioned in step 1. Note: You can also replace this file directly in the product DVD for any future installations: "ProductDVDLocation\license\db\licenses.dat" 4. Repair the product installation. For more information, refer to the installation guide. REMOVING THE PATCH ------------------ To uninstall the hotfix from client systems, restore the files that you had backed up at the beginning of the installation procedure.
