This patch fixes the following incidents:

SYMPTOM:
GMS support for RHEL6.10.

DESCRIPTION:
Since RHEL6.10 is new release and it has retpoline kernel therefore adding GMS support for it.

RESOLUTION:
Added GMS support for RHEL6.10.

Patch ID: 6.0.500.100

* 3952376 (Tracking ID: 3952375)

SYMPTOM:
GMS support for RHEL6.x retpoline kernels

DESCRIPTION:
Redhat released retpoline kernel for older RHEL6.x releases. The 
GMS module should recompile with retpoline aware GCC to support retpoline 
kernel.

RESOLUTION:
Compiled GMS with retpoline GCC.



INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
Run the Installer script to automatically install the patch:

Please be noted that the installation of this P-Patch will cause downtime.

To install the patch perform the following steps on at least one node in the cluster:
1. Copy the patch gms-rhel6_x86_64-Patch-6.0.5.200.tar.gz to /tmp
2. Untar gms-rhel6_x86_64-Patch-6.0.5.200.tar.gz to /tmp/hf
    # mkdir /tmp/hf
    # cd /tmp/hf
    # gunzip /tmp/gms-rhel6_x86_64-Patch-6.0.5.200.tar.gz
    # tar xf /tmp/gms-rhel6_x86_64-Patch-6.0.5.200.tar
3. Install the hotfix(Please be noted that the installation of this P-Patch will cause downtime.)
    # pwd 
    /tmp/hf
    # ./installGMS605P2 [<host1> <host2>...]

You can also install this patch together with 6.0.1 GA release and 6.0.5 Patch release
    # ./installGMS605P2 -base_path [<601 path>] -mr_path [<605 path>] [<host1> <host2>...]
where the -mr_path should point to the 6.0.5 image directory, while -base_path to the 6.0.1 image.

Install the patch manually:

#rpm -Uvh VRTSgms-6.0.500.200-RHEL6.x86_64.rpm


REMOVING THE PATCH
