Download the private executable to a temporary location on your system. To install the hotfix using the Wizard follow steps 2-5. To install the hotfix using command line follow steps 6-7. 2. Double click the executable file, the files are extracted to a folder at a default location: "%commonprogramfiles%Veritas SharedWxRTPrivates" for 32-bit systems and "%commonprogramfiles%(x86)Veritas SharedWxRTPrivates" for 64-bit systems. The Hotfix Installer Wizard is automatically launched after the files are extracted. 3. Click next on the Welcome screen. 4. The Hotfix Installation Tasks panel lists the tasks that are performed by the installer. Click Install Private to install the hotfix. The status of each task is updated as it gets completed. 5. On the next panel, click Finish to complete the installation process. 6. At the command prompt use the following command to extract the files at a default location: _Platform.exe /x where PrivateNumber stands for the specific hotfix number and Platform stands for the platform for which the exe must be installed.
