Description: *** Note: 1. This patch is to be installed on a Remote Boot Server 2. This patch provides the facility to provision Solaris 10 U6 targets from a Remote Boot server. 3. Solaris 10u6 AOS cannot be created on a Remote Boot Server. This is Enhancement patch addresses the following issues: - Support ActiveOS creation of SPARC Solaris 10 U6. - Live discovery and hardware discovery in Solaris 10 U6 fixed - ITAP Agent keeps restarting - Unable to find "/" file system. Patch Installation Instructions: To apply this patch on a Solaris OpForce Remote Boot Server: If you have already applied this patch once, backup the /patches/backup/OpForce5.0MP1+Eh1499408 directory is already present on your system then you can use it to rollback the patch, if needed. 1. Create a patch directory, and extract: OpForce5.0MP1+Eh1499408.tar 2. Change directory to the patch directory. 3. Run ./setup_remote.sh. Change directory to the patch directory. 3. Run ./setup_remote.sh uninstall Known Limitations/Issues: Issue 1: Solaris 10 10/08 (U6) is unsupported VPM server platform. Due to this - Install packages/Patches in Solaris 10 10/08 (U6) ActiveOS is not supported. Issue 2: Ref: Sun Bug Id- 6441901, 6460493 On the Solaris 10 10/08 (U6) machine, manual steps are required to umount and delete the lofi device which were created while performing the following opeartions: a- Create Solaris 10 10/08 (U6) ActiveOS tar file. b- Install Solaris 10 10/08 (U6) ActiveOS from mount point. Issue3: Linux VPM Server can not support Solaris 10 10/08 (U6) targets due to Sun's limitations of Solaris 10 10/08 (U6) jumpstart using Linux server.
