This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

SYMPTOM:
When the Oracle owner uses CSH shell, Oracle agent fails after an
upgrade to version 5.0MP3RP5.

DESCRIPTION:
When an user does not specify the EnvFile attribute or does not set the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable in the specified EnvFile, the Oracle startup operation
fails. During the startup operation the agent uses the setenv command to set the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable to the list of library paths consisting of
user-specified and pre-defined values. User-defined values are listed before
pre-defined values. If the user-specified value is not available in the EnvFile,
the agent sets the user-specified value to NULL. However, the setenv command
does not accept NULL as the first value in the list of library paths and hence
the agent fails.

RESOLUTION:
We have moved user-specified values at the end of the library path list.


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
Run the following steps on all the nodes in the VCS cluster:

1. Verify that the version of VRTSvcsor is 5.0MP3RP5 for Solaris. 

2. Stop the VCS Oracle agent by executing the following command.
    # haagent -stop Oracle -force -sys system_name 

3. Verify that the Oracle Agent is stopped by executing the following command:
    # ps -ef | grep OracleAgent

4. Install the patch
  a. Change to the appropriate directory where patch is present.

  b. Install patch as:
   # patchadd 146904-01

5. Verify that the new patch is installed:
   # showrev -p | grep 146904-01

   The following output is displayed if the patch
   is installed successfully:

   Patch: 146904-01 Obsoletes:  Requires: 141284-06 Incompatibles:  Packages: VRTSvcsor

6. Restart VCS:
   # haagent -start Oracle -sys system_name


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
Run the following steps on all the nodes in the VCS cluster:

1. Stop the VCS Oracle agent by executing the following command.
    # haagent -stop Oracle -force -sys system_name 

2. Verify that the Oracle Agent is stopped by executing the following command:
    # ps -ef | grep OracleAgent

3. Uninstall the patch:
    # patchrm 146904-01

4. Verify that the patch is uninstalled from the node:
    # showrev -p | grep 146904-01

   If the patch is successfully uninstalled, there will be no output.

5. Restart VCS:
    # haagent -start Oracle -sys system_name
