(2525188) [Applies to: Collector] Install/Uninstall Instructions: Apply this hotfix on each Collector worker node connecting to EMC file servers. This hotfix can be applied to Data Insight version 2.5RP2 only. FILE AFFECTED BY THIS PATCH: INSTALL_ROOT\DataInsight\bin\cel_util.exe INSTALL_ROOT\DataInsight\pdb\cel_util.pdb By default, value of INSTALL_ROOT is "C:\Program Files\Symantec". NOTE: Please keep a backup of the files you are about to patch. This will be required in case you want to rollback the patch. Steps: For each Collector worker node connecting to EMC file servers, log onto the server with Administrative privileges and perform the following steps: 1. Stop Data Insight services: From the command prompt, issue the following commands: net stop DataInsightComm net stop DataInsightWeb NOTE: Depending on the type of Data Insight node, some services might or might not be present. Ignore error if the service could not be stopped because it is not configured. 2. Unzip the patch files to a temporary folder. In this folder, locate the "patches" folder. The patch contains files for both 32bit and 64bit installs. Select the appropriate folder based on the processor architecture of your server. Files provided in the patch are in the same directory hierarchy as those present on your system at: "INSTALL_ROOT\DataInsight". Example: If you unzip hotfix to C:\temp, it will create the following folders under C:\temp: C:\TEMP +---README +---patches +---32bit +---bin +---pdb +---64bit +---bin +---pdb If you are patching a 32 bit server installed at "C:\Program Files\Symantec\DataInsight", copy entire contents under "C:\temp\patches\32bit" to "C:\Program Files\Symantec\DataInsight", replacing the original files with those from the patch. 3.
