Databases only in one zone are discovered correctly and the remaining Oracle databases in other zones are discovered as offline. DESCRIPTION: VOM uses read-only queries to fetch the details of the Oracle Database. The queries are put in a temporary file and executed. This temporary file is not properly created in Solaris zones configuration. RESOLUTION: Create this temporary file with read-only queries correctly to discover all the Oracle databases in the non-global zones INSTALLING THE PATCH -------------------- This hotfix is applicable for VOM 4.1 Managed Hosts. 1. Download the file HF040101190-12.sfa 2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server. 3. Navigate to Settings -> Deployment Management tab. 4. Upload the add-on to the VOM CMS using the "upload" button. The HF HF040101190-12 should be visible in the table below. 5. HF install instructions - In the Deployment Management page, click on the HF HF040101190-12 and it will take you to the Deployment Summary page. Select the 4.1 Managed hosts on which you want to apply the HF and click on the Install button. - If the CMS version is 4.1, it is recommended to install the HF first on the CMS and then on the other managed hosts. REMOVING THE PATCH ------------------ 1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server. 2. Navigate to Settings -> Deployment Management tab. 3. Remove instruction for HF - In the Deployment Management page, click on the HF HF040101190-12 and it will take you to the Deployment Summary page. Select the 4.1 managed host/s on which the status shown is "Enabled" (HF installed) and click on Uninstall button. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS -------------------- NONE OTHERS ------ NONE
