If none are specified, you will be prompted to enter them interactively. For information about installer options, run './installFS603P1 -help'. * To apply the patch manually, perform the steps listed below. 1. Quiesce and unmount VxFS filesystems: a) Stop all applications which are using VxFS filesystem(s) b) Quiesce VxFS filesystems and drain I/O buffers c) Unmount all non-root VxFS filesystems 2. Locate the VRTSvxfs-6.0.300.100-RHEL6.x86_64.rpm package and note the absolute pathname of its containing directory (either on shared storage or copied to each node's local store). 3. On each system, execute the following command: # rpm -Uvh /VRTSvxfs-6.0.300.100-RHEL6.x86_64.rpm where is the directory pathname from step 2 above. REMOVING THE PATCH ------------------ Since the patch package replaces the extant version of the VRTSvxfs package when installed, after removing the patch it is necessary to reinstall the pre-patch version of VRTSvxfs. Your installation media should contain the VRTSvxfs package which you will reinstall. 1. Quiesce and unmount VxFS filesystems: a) Stop all applications which are using VxFS filesystem(s) b) Quiesce VxFS filesystems and drain I/O buffers c) Unmount all non-root VxFS filesystems 2. On each system, uninstall the VRTSvxfs package which you installed during patch application: # rpm -ehv VRTSvxfs-6.0.300.100-RHEL6.x86_64.rpm 3. On each system, reinstall the pre-patch version of VRTSvxfs from original installation media: # rpm -ihv VRTSvxfs-6.0.300.0-RHEL6.x86_64.rpm You may need to reboot your system(s) after completing this operation.
