OVERVIEW: ------------ Symantec FileStore provides a scalable clustered storage solution. This document provides release information for the patch. We provided point fixes for replication services in this patch. IMPORTANT: The 5.6RP1P4HF7 patch can only be applied on 5.6RP1P4HF6. And it's a point fix here, we didn't change patch version, so it still be 5.6RP1P4HF6 after upgrading. II. UPGRADE PROCEDURE: ---------------------- To install the patch: 1. Login as master, and stop the replication service when no job is running. 2. Login as support: a. Untar SFSFS-patch-5.6RP1P4HF7_2013_10_29.tar.gz. b. There are five files in the tar ball: rep_jm_session.sh, rep_jm_src.sh, rep_rm_msg_recv, rep_rm_session, and rep_rm_src_start. c. Back up the current files on all the nodes, their locations should be: /opt/VRTSnasgw/scripts/rep/. d. Replace them with the new files on the tar ball on all the nodes. Run 'chmod 755' on the files. 3. Login as master, and start the replication service. If there are 'failed' replication jobs, disable the jobs first, and then enable them again. III. FIXES IN THE NEW PATCH: ---------------------------- Etrack Incidents: 3244878, 3285662 Errors/Problems Fixed: 3244325 Scheduled relocation job failed "No such file or directory" for the Destination Server. 3285662 rep_rm_src_star core dumps.
