This TechFile provides information about the Array Support Library (ASL) for the Fujitsu ETERNUS6000 array on VERITAS Volume Manager 5.0 MP1 and later for HP-UX 11iv2.

Installation Instructions:

1. Create a directory to store the ASL package:

# mkdir /tmp/asl

2. At the bottom of this TechFile, click on Download Now to download the ASL package

3. Download the file VRTSFJTSYe6k_v1_HPUX_50_302063.tar.Z into the /tmp/asl directory

4. Before adding any ASL packages, ensure VERITAS Volume Manager is installed and enabled:

# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled

5. To install the package:

# cd /tmp/asl
# zcat VRTSFJTSYe6k_v1_HPUX_50_302063.tar.Z | tar xvf -
# swinstall -s `pwd` VRTSFJTSYe6k

6. After the package is installed, you must execute the vxdctl enable command to claim the disk array as an ETERNUS6000 array:

# vxdctl enable

7. After executing vxdctl enable, you should see libvxFJTSYe6k.sl in the output of the vxddladm listsupport command, as follows:

# vxddladm listsupport libname=libvxfjtsye6k.sl
