This TechFile provides information about the Array Support Library (ASL) for StorageTek FlexLine (FLX) Series arrays (formerly known as OpenStorage and BladeStor) on Veritas Volume Manager 5.0 and later for Solaris Sparc For general information about Array Support Libraries (ASLs), see TechNote 249446 (link in the Related Documents section of this TechFile) Array Settings: Arrays should be configured to Auto-Trespass (AVT Mode). For additional details on array configuration, contact StorageTek Support. Package Name: VRTSSTKasl (StorageTek FlexLine Array Support Library for Volume Manager 5.0 and Later) Package Version: 1.0,REV=04.30.2008.15.58 Supported versions of Veritas Volume Manager: 5.0, 5.0 MP1 Supported Arrays: FlexLine 200, 300 and 380 Series (A/P-C) Installation Instructions: 1. Create a directory to store ASL package # mkdir /tmp/asl 2. At the bottom of this TechFile, click on Download Now to download the package 3. Download the file VRTSSTKasl_5.0_SunOS_sparc_v1.2_304738.tar.Z into /tmp/asl directory 4. Before adding any ASL package, ensure Veritas Volume Manager is installed and enabled # vxdctl mode mode: enabled 5. To install the package: # cd /tmp/asl # zcat VRTSSTKasl_5.0_SunOS_sparc_v1.2_304738.tar.Z | tar xvf - # pkgadd -d .
