Note: The ASL is applicable to 5.0 and 5.0MP1 only.

At the bottom of this TechFile, click on Download Now to download the ASL package.

After downloading VRTShdsalua.tar_306853.gz, uncompress the file:
# gunzip < VRTShdsalua.tar_306853.gz | tar xvf -

Before adding the ASL package, ensure Veritas Volume Manager is installed and enabled:
# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled

ASL Installation:
To install the package:
# pkgadd -d .

The following packages are available:
 1  VRTShdsalua     Demo Array Support Librarry
                    (sparc) 1.0,REV=08.14.2007.11.48


After the package is installed, you must execute the vxdctl enable command to claim the disk array.
# vxdctl enable

After executing vxdctl enable, verify the output of the vxddladm listsupport command:
# vxddladm listsupport libname=libvxhdsalua.so
