Description

Executing multiple commands in quick succession may cause the operation to fail with this message.  The Volume Replicator Administrative Service (VRAS) modules for each host in the replicated data set (RDS) constantly share the configuration information about the individual replicated volume groups (RVGs) in the RDS.  For each change in configuration, the hosts exchange information to keep each other updated about the current configuration.  If a command is issued while this information update is in progress, the command is rejected with this error.

Possible causes

- More than one command is executed in quick succession
- The configuration undergoes multiple configuration changes simultaneously

Solution

Perform the required operation again at a later time

Recommendations

If this error occurs during the executing of a script, insert a time delay between the commands
