The root of the problem likely lies with a mismatch between the utility printing the message, the message catalog, and the userland shared library. Making sure these three  components are from the same package should eliminate the issue. You can accomplish this fix by terminating all instances of gab utilities, unloading the driver, and reinstalling the package.
