Description:

This message displays if an agent exits unexpectedly more than five times within an hour. The message contains information about the number of faults encountered in the last hour and the timestamp of the last fault.

 

Each time an agent exits unexpectedly, the VCS engine tries to restart the agent. The engine does not try to restart the agent if the agent faults more than five times within a stipulated fixed interval (five times the AgentStartTimeout or five times the AgentReplyTimeout – whichever is greater, plus five minutes).

 

The following conditions apply:
 

  • Resources of the faulted agent remain in their last known state.
     
  • If the agent is running when the command is issued, the Running attribute is set to Yes. If the agent is not running when the command is issued, the Running attribute is set to No.
     
  • If the agent restarts after the fault, the Started attribute is set to Yes. If the agent does not restart after the fault, the Started attribute is set to No.
