VxFEN driver not configured. VCS Stopping. Manually restart VCS after configuring fencing

If the UseFence attribute is set to SCSI3, Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) waits for 90 seconds for the fencing driver (VxFEN) to complete configuration. If VxFEN is not configured, VCS cannot proceed, so VCS exits.

  1. Read the /var/VRTSvcs/log/vxfen/vxfen.log file to determine why the fencing driver was not configured. If there is an error in the fencing configuration, the log contains an error message.
  2. Configure I/O Fencing. For detailed information, see the Veritas™ Cluster Server Installation Guide.
  3. Restart VCS using the hastart command.

For more information on troubleshooting VCS, see the Veritas™ Cluster Server Administrator's Guide.
