Error Code details
V-16-1-10071
Severity: Warning
Component: Cluster Server
Message:
Last RUNNING node has failed or build from local disk failed. Unable to form a cluster.
Description:

When Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) starts on a cluster node (hereafter called “node A”), it either:

- Takes a snapshot of the configuration from a node in the RUNNING state (hereafter called “node B”). If node B is the last RUNNING node and VCS dies before node A receives the configuration, node A enters ADMIN_WAIT state because it can’t take the snapshot.

- If there is no node in RUNNING state, node A builds configuration from local main.cf. If the local configuration is invalid or corrupted, the hacf returns an error while node A is building configuration. Node A then enters ADMIN_WAIT state.

In both cases, this message is displayed.

To solve the issue, do the following:

  1. Check if the configuration file is valid. Enter:

    hacf -verify config

If hacf –verify returns an error, you need to correct the error and try again.

  2. If the configuration file is correct, enter the following command to build configuration from the system:

    # hasys -force <system>
