Group %s is migrating to/from system %s; on/offlining prohibited during switch or failover
Description:

This message is displayed when you try to bring a service group offline or online using the hagrp command on a node in the cluster; however, the service group is in the process of migrating to or from that node in the cluster. The service group can migrate for any of the following reasons:
 

  • A user initiated a switch operation.
     
  • A user initiated an evacuate operation (with the hastop -local -evacuate command ) or restarted the node.
     
  • A child service group failed over.
     
  • A critical resource in the service group faulted.

Before you initiate the online or offline of the service group on the node using the hagrp command, make sure that the service group is completely offline or online on that node in the cluster. You can check the state of the service groups using the following command:
 

# /opt/VRTSvcs/bin/hagrp -state service_group
 

If the operation still fails after you verify that the service group is completely online or offline, flush any pending operations. Enter:
 

# /opt/VRTSvcs/bin/hagrp -flush service_group -sys system
