Description:

When you try to change the Veritas Cluster System (VCS) configuration, you must first make sure that the VCS configuration is writable. For example, you can run the # haconf –makerw command to enable modifications to the configuration. If the VCS configuration is writable before you run the command, this error occurs.

You can make your changes to the configuration directly. To avoid further editing after the changes, turn the VCS mode back to read-only. Enter:
 

# haconf -dump -makero
