Description:

When an external client tries to connect to Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), it opens an inter-process messaging(IPM) channel. This channel requires a socket to be opened. If the socket creation fails for some reason, this message is displayed. The ‘errno’ value is the error returned by the Operating System.

The “errno = 97” may occur if the protocol family (IPV4/IPV6) is not supported. If the client is unable to communicate to VCS, ensure that the required subsystem (IPV4/IPV6) is enabled on the cluster nodes.

Otherwise no action is required.
