Description:

VCS cannot bring the resource online because doing so violates the configured service group dependencies.

If this resource were to go online, the state of the service group that contains this resource would change to PARTIAL and the following violations would occur.

Child group violations:
 

  • Online local – The child group is not online on this node.
     
  • Online remote – The child group is not online on one of the remote nodes.
     
  • Online global – The child group is not online anywhere in the cluster.
     
  • Offline local – The child group is online on the same node.
     

Parent group violations:
 

  • Online local – The parent group is either online or partial on a different node.
     
  • Online remote – The parent group is partial/online on this node.
     
  • Offline local – The parent group is partial/online on this node.
     

Because of these violations, VCS cannot bring the resource online.

To correct the condition that caused the violation, perform one of the following steps:
 

  • Bring the child group online on the appropriate node (if the dependency category is ONLINE).
     
  • Take the child group offline on the appropriate node (if the dependency category is OFFLINE).
     
  • Take the parent group offline on the appropriate node.
