The ClusterService is an internal failover service group that must always be online because it hosts services that are critical to the proper functioning of cluster components such as WAC, GUI, and Notifier.

To perform maintenance on a resource in the ClusterService group, complete the tasks:

  1. Take the resource offline.
     
  2. Disable the resource.
     
  3. Complete the maintenance.
     
  4. Enable the resource.
     
  5. Bring the resource online.

Note: If the resource is of type None, skip steps 1 and 5.
