Error Code details
V-16-1-51101
Severity: Warning
Component: Cluster Server
Message:
%s Signal SIGABRT received
Description:

The message is displayed when the agent or the Veritas High Availability Daemon (HAD) doesn’t send a heartbeat with the engine or GAB respectively. As a result the agent or HAD receives a SIGABRT signal. If the system’s CPU or I/O load is high, HAD or the agent fails to get the required processing time, leading to a heartbeat loss.

To solve the problem:

  • If the agent receives a SIGABRT with a high CPU or I/O load, increase the value of the AgentReplyTimeout attribute for the specific agent.

  • If HAD receives a SIGABRT with a high CPU or I/O load, increase the VCS_GAB_TIMEOUT before Veritas Cluster Server(VCS) starts.

  • the Agent or HAD dies after a SIGABRT signal and then starts automatically. Otherwise you should start them manually.

If the above solution is not helpful or the SIGABRT is seen without high CPU or I/O load, please contact Veritas support with relevant logs or data.
