The issue:
 
  • HAD does not start
  • Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) logs the following error in the Application Event log against HAD:
VCS ERROR V-16-1-52539 [Licensing] License key can not be used on this OS platform
  • The VCS cluster engine contains the same error.
Cause:
 
  • The VCS license key is confirmed as the correct key for the operating system where Storage Foundation for Windows High Availability (SFW HA) is installed.
  • The original installation binaries did not propagate the operating platform key into the VCS key correctly.
Resolution:
 
Download the updated installation binaries.
 
If SFW HA 5.0 is already installed, contact Veritas Technical Support.
