Description:
This error occurs if the authentication broker cannot authenticate the user due to one the following:
  • The user does not exist or the username/password is entered incorrectly.
  • The authentication broker process vxatd is not running.
  • The firewall is blocking the vxatd port (2821).
  • The authentication broker is not configured properly.
  • A setuptrust operation with the authentication broker has not been initiated.

Make sure that:

  • The username and password are entered correctly.
  • The vxatd process is running.
  • The firewall is not blocking the vxatd port.
  • The authentication broker is configured properly.
  • The setuptrust operation has been started. Use the vssat CLI to start setuptrust with the authentication broker in high security mode.

If none of the above works, restart the authentication broker.
