The agent uses the interprocess messaging (IPM) connection to communicate with the high availability daemon (HAD) process. If the agent has not communicated with the HAD process during the timeout period, HAD assumes it faulted and tries restarting it. The value of AgentReplyTimeout attribute is the timeout period of the corresponding agent.

This situation may arise because of factors like network congestion, high CPU, and high memory usage. If the agent faults repeatedly, check the network, CPU, memory usage and increase value of the AgentReplyTimeout attribute.
