Message:
Could not create CmdClient Command Server may not be running on this system.
Description:

This message occurs when one or both of the following issues happen:
 

  • The port 14150 on that computer is blocked (via a firewall).
     
  • The Veritas Command Server component is not running on the target system. Hence, any invocation of this component fails.

Content:
  1. Go to the target system.
                                                           
  2. If necessary, open the firewall for port 14150.
                                                           
  3. Do one of the following:

    On AIX, HP-UX, Linux, or Solaris, run the following command to start the Veritas Command Server service:

    /opt/VRTSvcs/bin/CmdServer

    On Windows, open the Services control panel (Start > Run > services.msc) and start the Veritas Command Server service.
