This message displays when you specify an invalid MultiNICA resource name in the MultiNICAResName attribute of the corresponding IPMultiNIC resource.

 

The IPMultiNIC resource depends on the underlying MultiNICA resource to get the status of the active NIC device and plumb the IP address on it.

Configure a valid MultiNICA resource name in the MultiNICAResName attribute of the IPMultiNIC resource. A valid MultiNICAResName attribute value is the name of a MultiNICA resource present in the VCS configuration. To correct the attribute value, enter:

 

# hares -modify IPMultiNIC_resource MultiNICAResName MultiNICA_resource
