Description:

This issue might occur when failing over a service group. The MountV resource takes longer than expected to go offline.
 

When the MountV agent takes a MountV resource offline, the agent attempts to dismount the volume. To perform this dismount, the MountVagent tries to obtain an exclusive lock on the volume. If any applications are using the volume, the lock operation fails, and this error is logged.

Configure all the applications that perform I/O on the volume in the same Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) service group as the MountV resource.
 

If the applications are under VCS control and this error still occurs, set the ForceUnmountattribute of the MountV resource to the appropriate value and then try the operation again.
