The following resolutions apply to two different situations:
 

  • If another block device is unintentionally mounted on the mount point outside of Veritas Cluster Server control, use the umount command to unmount the existing block device from the mount point, so that the agent can mount the block device specified in the Mount resource on the mount point.
     
  • If you want to mount two block devices on the same mount point, but not simultaneously, configure two different Mount resources with different BlockDevice attribute values and set the ReuseMntPt attribute value to 1 for both Mount resources. Also set the appropriate group and resource dependencies so that only one resource can come online on a system at a time.
