The Disk Group is was created as a Dynamic (Secondary) group and not as a Cluster Disk Group.
 

 
1. Deport the Dynamic Disk Group
 
2. Import the Dynamic Disk Group as a Cluster Disk Group. In versions prior to 5.0 this needs to be accomplished using the following vxdg command:    
 

 
vxdg -g<DynamicDiskGroupName> -s import
