Message:
Failed to create a drive mount for the specified instance. Reason could be one of the following: 1. The mount required for SQL data is not mounted. 2. The disk is not visible from all the nodes. 3. The same Mount is configured as any other resource.
Description:

This error may occur when you run the SQL Server Agent Configuration Wizard to configure a Service Group for VCS control due to one of the following reasons:
 

  • The wizard cannot add the MountV or Mount resource for the mount path used by SQL.
     
  • The drive letter is not mounted on the system where the wizard is run.
     
  • The mount is already configured as a resource for another service group in the cluster.
     
  • The disk is not accessible to all the nodes selected in the service group.

  • The drive is mounted on the node where the wizard runs.
     
  • The disk is accessible to all the nodes selected in the service group.
     
  • The disk or mount is not configured in any other service group in the cluster.
