Description

This error appears when there are inconsistencies between the nodes for the values contained under the following registry key:

HKLM\Software\Veritas\VCS\Exchconfig\EVS\%evsname%\systems\%systemname%

Values found under this key include:

InitiatorName - This can be left blank.
MACAddress - Contains the MAC address of primary NIC.
VCSName - Cointains the name of the physical node.


Solution

Ensure that the values contain correct information on all nodes.

WARNING: Incorrect use of the Windows Registry Editor can have disastrous results on a server operating system. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows Registry. Registry modifications should only be carried out by persons experienced in the use of the Registry Editor application.
