Error Code details
Severity: Error
Component: Cluster Server
%s lost connection to cluster %s

This error is displayed when a wide area connector (WAC) on the local cluster loses connection with the WAC on the remote cluster. This happens due to an issue in the network. If it is a temporary problem in the network, the connection will be re-established, and you do not need to take any action. However, if the connection is not re-established or the error occurs continuously, then you need to check the network for any problems.

If the problem persists, you can use these techniques to troubleshoot it:

  • Ping the cluster address of the remote cluster. If that does not work, the issue could be a loose network cable, routers in the path are not working correctly, and so on.
  • Try to telnet to the WAC port (14141) on the remote cluster. If that does not work, check if the WAC is running on the remote cluster and make sure that a firewall is not blocking the WAC port.
