Description:

This message displays when the SAPNW04 agent fails to execute the sapstart command. The reasons and the corresponding exit codes are:

0 => 'Success'
1 => 'OS configuration error'
2 => 'Called with wrong Parameters'
3 => 'User not authorized to execute script'
4 => 'Environment not set'
5 => 'Database startup failed'
6 => 'Database on remote DB-Server not running'
7 => 'Startup of Instance failed'
8 => 'Start profile not found'
9 => 'User not authorized to start database'


This error occurs in the following platforms and AgentPacks:

 

  • AIX: 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 6.1 on pSeries
     
  • HP-UX: 11i v1, 11iv2,and 11iv3
     
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux: 4.0 and 5.0
     
  • SUSE Linux: 9.0 and 10.0
     
  • Solaris:  8, 9, and 10 SPARC including the zones; Solaris 10 x86_64
     
  • AgentPack releases: AgentPack released prior to AgentPack-3Q2009
