Description:

The message appears when the detailed monitoring performed by the SAPWebAS71 agent fails. The SAPWebAS71 agent performs process level checks and detailed monitoring for SAP instance during the SecondLevelMonitor operation.

For the SAP architecture and instance type combinations, the commands mentioned below must exist and have executable permission.  Also, when you run these commands with the required parameters outside Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), these commands must not return any error.

 

  • If the architecture is of type JAVA and SAP instance is of type APPSERV or SMDAAGENT, the sapcontrol command must be used.
  • If the architecture is of type ABAP and SAP instance is of type APPSERV, the sapinfo command must be used.
  • If the architecture is of type AddIn and SAP instance is of type APPSERV, the sapinfo command must be used.
  •  If the architecture is of type AddIn and SAP instance is of type APPSERV or SMDAAGENT, then the sapcontrol command must be used.
  • If the architecture is not any of the above types and SAP instance is not of type APPSERV, then the ensmon command must be used.

 

The value of the MonitorTimeOut attribute must be large enough to enable the commands above to be executed successfully. It is a type level attribute.
