Description:

The Veritas Enterprise Administrator service process (vxsvc) is not running on the Managed Host.

Content:
  1. Start the vxsvc process. Enter:

    # /opt/VRTSob/bin/vxsvcctrl start
     
  2. Check the status of the controller. Enter:

    # /opt/VRTSob/bin/vxsvcctrl status

    Make sure the xprtld process is running on the Managed Host. If it isn't, restart it.
     
  3. Wait five minutes.
     
  4. Go to the Veritas Operations Manager Console, and on the Administrator tab check if the Managed Host is listed.
