If the vxboot.sys driver fails to auto-import a disk group

The vxboot.sys driver fails to auto-import a disk group when either the disk devices have not arrived when the driver is loaded or there is a problem with the disk group, such as corruption in the private regions.

To import the disk group, do the following:

  1. See if you can import the disk group manually.

If you can import the disk group manually, the disk group is functioning properly. Use the Late Start service to auto-import the disk group.

If you cannot import the disk group manually, it has a problem. Contact Veritas Technical Support.
