Description

Vxboot was unable to detect a valid configuration for the disk group.

Symptoms
 

  • V-204-57344-5 "vxboot: Disk group %2 failed. All volumes in the disk group are not available" appears in Veritas Storage Foundation for Windows
  • ERROR: vxboot: Disk group %2 failed. All volumes in the disk group are not available

Recommendations
 
  • For iSCSI devices, review the technote referenced in the "Related Documents" section of this article.
  • Use the Windows Device Manager or Diskpart to verify that all of the disks in the disk group are being presented to the server.
  • If there are multiple paths to the storage, disable one of the paths and perform a rescan.
  • Review the Windows Event Viewer for any messages that indicate a problem communicating with the storage area network
