Error Code details
V-223-7-3980
Severity: Error
Component: Unified Logging SDK and Service
Message:
Could not discover LDAP attributes
Description:
When you add a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) or Active Directory (AD) authentication broker to Veritas Operations Manager (VOM), the wizard fails with an error when using a third-party certificate.

Refer to the Veritas Operations Manager Server Administrator's Guide, for the section on managing authentication brokers in Veritas Operations Manager.  This section includes a table that details the options for the wizard to configure an LDAP-based authentication broker.  For the server name if using SSL certificates it states:

If a secure session is configured with the LDAPserver using SSL certificates, you must enter the fully-qualified hostname that matches with the fully-qualified hostname in the LDAP server certificate.

The use of third-party certificates (that is, a certificate that is not signed by the LDAP server) is not supported in the version(s) of Veritas Operations Manager listed with this document.
