Description:

This message is displayed when fsck fails to initialize and validate the file system control-structures such as super-block, object location table (OLT), and ilist extents.
 

The reason for this message can include:
 

  • fsck fails to rebuild super-block from the Allocation Unit (AU).
     
  • fsck is not able to validate OLT and its copy from the OLT extent.
     
  • fsck is not able to locate the initial inode list in OLT.
