  • Mounting layouts 1-3 with VxFS  version 4.0 or later

(note the release should be '5.1' but VOS seems to be missing that as an option.) This issue can be hit when you try to mount an older disklayout using new binaries, for example after upgrading the binaries. Examples include attempting to mount layouts 1-5 with VxFS >=5.1, and attempting to mount layouts 1-3 with VxFS >=4.0. Solutions: Upgrade the disklayout online before upgrading the VxFS binaries using the vxupgrade utility.
