This message is displayed due to an internal error, when the scanner.exe process fails to exit with return code 0. This results in failure to fetch the path information from the monitored shares or site collections.

No corrective action needs to be taken. Data Insight attempts to fetch the path information during the next full or incremental scan. However, you can investigate about the detailed cause of the error by viewing the ILOG file for that share or site collection. For example, for the share ID 4, the corresponding ILOG file can be ext3_msu4.ilog. You can find the scanner log files under the following location: INSTALL_DIR\log\scanner.

Note: The default path for Data Insight INSTALL_DIR is C:\ProgramFiles\Symantec\Data Insight. This default path can be changed during the installation process.
