Description:

This error message is displayed when you attempt to configure any of the following services:
 

  • DataInsightFpolicy
     
  • DataInsightFpolicyCMod
     
  • DataInsightCeler
     
  • DataInsightWinnas
     

This error may be caused due to the following reasons:
 

  • The user account that is used to configure the service cannot access the Installation Directory\log folder on the Collector node.
     
  • The user account that is used to configure the service is not resolvable from the domain to which the filer belongs.

To resolve the error, ensure that the user account whose credentials are used to configure the service:
 

  • Has read and write permissions on the log folder on the Collector node where the failed policy is configured. 
     
  • Is resolvable from the domain to which the filer belongs.
     

The log folder of the Collector node is located under the Data Insight installation directory. Typically, the installation directory is located at C:\Program Files\Symantec\Data Insight.
