There are multiple causes for  this error message:
 

  • In Veritas Operations Manager versions earlier than 4.1, this message appears when the refresh operation gets timed out.
     
  • In Veritas Operations Manager 4.1 and later versions, this message appears when xprtld on the managed host does not respond properly.
