Do one or more of the following:
 

• Check if the specified host name or IP address is reachable from the control host.
   
• Check if the user name and password are valid for the remote host.
   
• For a Windows remote host:
  
  
  • Check if the user has administrative privileges for the remote host.
     
  • Check if the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) user name is correctly specified as domain_name \ user_name.
     
• For a UNIX remote host:
  
  
  • Check if the control host can connect to the remote host with the specified user credentials using the ssh command.
     
  • Check if the user has write permission for the /var/tmp directory on the remote host.
