Error Code details
Severity: Error
Component: Enterprise Administrator
Invalid argument

If a Veritas Storage Foundation (SF) host uses a LUN for an existing volume, and if you resize the LUN from the disk controller interface, you might encounter the following errors:

  • V-76-58645-260: Either no disk space is available on your dynamic disks or the configuration is not valid to complete this operation.
  • V-39-32775-87: Invalid Argument

If you make changes to a LUN at the array level, SF is not aware of the changes until the disk group is rescanned.

Deport and import the disk group that contains the volume which is to be resized. The LUNs in the disk group are rescanned and the new size(s) reported to the operating system.
