Description:

The message displays if you have multiple independent add-ons installed on the Veritas Operations Manager (VOM) Central Management Server (CMS), and you don't specify the profile in the URL. The framework is not sure which profile to load.

Do one of the following:
 

  • If there are no parameters in the URL, append the profile ?Profile=CentralExtension to the URL. For example, if the URL that caused the error is:

    https://foo.symantec.com:14161/sm/Login

    Specify:

    https://foo.symantec.com:14161/sm/Login?Profile=CentralExtension

    The ? precedes the first parameter in the URL.
     
  • If the URL has parameters in it, but does not have the Profile parameter, append &Profile=CentralExtension. For example, if the URL that caused the error is:

    https://foo.symantec.com:14161/sm/Login?tab=FW.HOME

    Specify:

    https://foo.symantec.com:14161/sm/Login?tab=FW.HOME&Profile=CentralExtension

    The & precedes every parameter in the URL except the first.

To access the VOM CMS Web page using a browser, type the following in the address bar:
 

https://host_name_or_IP_address:14161/

 

14161 is the port number for lauching VOM.

 

For example, if you type the following URL and press Enter:

 

https://foo.symantec.com:14161/

 

You are redirected to:

 

https://foo.symantec.com:14161/sm/Login?Profile=CentralExtension

 

This is the URL for the VOM login screen.
