Message:
Could not obtain list of authentication brokers for the specified host. Please check the configuration of the host.
Description:

This error occurs when you connect to Veritas Enterprise Administrator (VEA). The error is caused by an incorrect configuration in which both of the following conditions are true:
 

  • The value of the Mode key under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\VxSvc\CurrentVersion\Mode registry subkey is set to 2 (the domain mode for the VEA service, VxSVC).
     
  • The authentication broker list is empty.

VxSVC mode is not valid in Storage Foundation for Windows 5.1 SP1 and later. Therefore, to resolve this issue you must change the value of the Mode key to 1 and then restart VxSVC.
 

If the issue is still not resolved, collect the VEA server and GUI log files and contact Veritas Technical Support.
