Description:

This error message displays when there is a problem with the VEAINTF process running on managed hosts. You can see this message when you run Storage Foundation Manager or Veritas Operations Manager. Several network communication issues can cause the error.

If the error happens because the Domain Name System (DNS) reverse lookup does not work, let DNS perform reverse lookups for the managed hosts.

If the error happens because a firewall is blocking the ports, make sure ports 5634, 8443 and 2148 are open.
